About us

Koch+Partner Architekten Stadtplaner, based in Munich and Leipzig, is an experienced, efficient and interdisciplinary team of architects, urban and regional planners, building engineers and interior designers.
K+P covers the whole range of architectural services, from preparation of planning studies and design to construction planning, tender procedures for all trades and services and site supervision in Germany and abroad.
K+P also act as “General planner”.
K+P are particularly known and sought-after through their specialist experience in airport and airport master planning. The high-quality and holistic approach of their modern architecture occurs under consideration of individual requirements, local situations, markets and cultures and will be implemented in the collaboration with local partners. Complex large-scale projects will be managed with the same engagement and reliability as for smaller projects.

New Satellite Facility, Munich International Airport, Germany.
Design of a most modern midfield terminal for 11 m/PAX with the target of reducing CO2 emissions by 40%.
Construction during normal airport operation. Opening in April 2016.

Master plan and design of 7-storey parking block characterized by generous spaces with natural light and ventilation. K+P as General planner, preliminary design to execution drawings.

Commercial and office building Karolinen Karree in Munich, Germany.
Design of a building for individual lease: offices with a superior level of furnishing and equipment (GFA 15,600 m²). Silver certified by the German Sustainable Building Council (DGNB).

Administration building and factory for PULS Power GmbH in Chomutov, Czech Republic.
Design of a significant building for development and production of electronic power supplies (GFA 6,400 m²). K+P as General planner.

Residential and Housing Estates – New development and refurbishment

Living at Vincenti Park, new residential estate in Baden-Baden, Germany.
1. Prize in architectural competition. Design of new high-quality residential estates with polygonal structures (GFA 7,100 m²); integrated in the surrounding topography of the landscape.

Rehabilitation of listed Siemens residential estate in Munich, Germany.
Designed in the 1950ies – restored 2006-2009 in characteristical style of the period, yet energy consumption was reduced by over 60%. Awarded 7 design prizes.

News & Innovations

Germany’s first Satellite at Munich Airport has been open in April 2016 

Koch+Partner architects have recently provided the design and construction of the new Terminal 2 Satellite at Munich International Airport. This new spacious and transparent state-of-the-art midfield terminal handles a capacity of 11 million passengers per year. This energy optimized building was created during normal airport operation and was inaugurated in April 2016. The Satellite, Germany’s first hub terminal, is an important element for the long-term future development of Munich Airport.
