The biennial Baukultur Report is a detailed status report on the situation of Baukultur in Germany. It examines the social value of Baukultur from the perspective of citizens and the creators of the built environment alike, and includes recommendations for action for policymakers, planners, and other stakeholders in Baukultur. The Baukultur Report is created with the involvement of numerous specialists, experts, associations, an advisory group, and the Foundation’s own expert bodies.
Baukultur Report 2018/19 "Heritage – Presence – Future"
The Report addresses built heritage and the challenges for the future viability of our designed environment. Among other issues, the report thematises energy upgrades of existing architecture and infrastructure – particularly from the era of post-war modernism – as one of the largest building tasks in the years ahead.
Baukultur Report 2016/17 "City and Village"
The Baukultur Report 2016/17 “City and Village” focuses on small and medium-sized urban spaces and rural areas. It contains recommendations for action to increase Baukultur in order to enhance the quality of life in both cities and the countryside.
Baukultur Report 2014/15 "Built Living Spaces of the Future - Focus City"
The Baukultur Report 2014/15 is the first under the leadership of the German Federal Foundation of Baukultur and provides a compact overview on the situation of Baukultur in Germany: questions about affordable and high-quality housing, technical infrastructure and urban public space and urban greens as well as complex planning and participation processes in building projects.
