schneider+schumacher covers all stages of work, from initial design through to detailed design and overall planning. Our architectural approach is characterized by the enjoyment we have in finding solutions to the complex demands of today's buildings. We adapt our buildings to fit into their surroundings, yet we also create landmarks. Pragmatic poetry, nurtured not only by design clarity and a conscientious attitude towards the task in hand, but also by a delight in fine details. This design process is constantly informed by the dialogue that takes place on a daily basis between the various professional disciplines in all our departments and offices.

schneider+schumacher stands for professional execution of new buildings, refurbishment, modernization and maintenance. Our focus lies on detail design, tendering, project supervision and time schedule, quality- and cost control. Projects are executed and managed with high design quality in mind.

Technical Townhall Mannheim, Germany

The new building is designed to house some 700 employees and to provide an user-friendly service environment.
The design has an eye-catching 13-storey high office tower divided in two, with a transparent glass façade that underscores the public location. The main entrance is on Glücksteinallee, with access to the foyer serving the entire town hall, as well as a citizen's service point on the first floor. The entrance also provides access to the meeting area.

Frankfurt Pavilion, Germany

An iconic temporary building planned and implemented by schneider+schumacher to house events involving authors and book experts from all over the world has been created at the 70th Frankfurt Book Fair. With a floor area of 480m² and a height of 6.5 meters, the new Frankfurt Pavilion functions as the main stage of the Book Fair and is used for various events such as readings, award ceremonies, press conferences, as well as for musical and culinary highlights.

DOXX is not simply a residential building with a portion devoted to commercial use. It will act as a pivotal project in remodeling the custom harbor area in Mainz into an attractive and lively neighborhood. The distinct shape of the building and the decision to raise all residential accommodation to the upper floor levels is central to the concept. The double x-design is what sets this building apart. The shape is also reflected in its name “DOXX” – evoking the nautical term ‘docks’.
