Kardorff Ingenieure was established in 1997 and has worked on a variety of projects in all areas of architecture. Most of our projects have been in Europe, with an additional focus on projects in the Middle East and China.
Our team consists of architects and engineers specialised in artificial and daylight lighting design. Our office excels at communicating with clients and planning partners and is a competent partner when it comes to delivering integrated lighting designs with Building Information Modeling (BIM).
Lighting Design, Daylighting Consultancy, Product Development
In the Media Harbour in Düsseldorf, the office complex "FLOAT“ represents an architectural highlight, conceptualised by Pritzker Award winner Renzo Piano. Kardorff engineers were involved in the project for all aspects of artificial light and daylight planning. The central challenge was to optimize the shape of the building.
Lufthansa’s Airbus A-350 is the first airplane in which daylight serves as a role model for the first all-LED lighting. Warm light colours for relaxation and cool light colours to activate with all harmonious dynamic lighting scenes. For the first time, cabin lighting combines functional aspects with comfort and biodynamic lighting.
The luxury hotel in Baden-Baden presents itself as an urban oasis surrounded by beautiful parkland. Award-winning spa facilities Villa Stéphanie and the recently refurbished Bar-Restaurant Fritz & Felix offer excellent interiors. The lighting design creates a personal, informal atmosphere. It suits the welcoming attitude of this modern grand hotel with a tradition of 145 years.
