The conversion of the industrial monument into a hotel (MIPIM2008 awards – best hotel&tourism resort) took about two years and required spectacular construction work. The tower was built in 1910 on an even older underground reservoir.
After extensive renovation work, the tower could finally be filled with life again. In June 2007, Mövenpick opened the hotel with 226 rooms on 20 levels.
The historical structure can be experienced everywhere in the building and thus creates a unique atmosphere.
The new office building in the trendy area of the "Werksviertel" is designed to be a sustainable lighthouse project which is not only DGNB certified but also follows the C2C-priciples creating comfortable and healthy spaces for todays and future office users.
