About us
We are an established architectural practice, recognized for our award-winning portfolio of successfully completed comissions with a wide range of typologies, scales and budgets. With our design-driven team we place a strong focus on research and innovation, grounded by decades of hands-on building experience. We believe that good design is sustainable design – not only by creating robust, durable buildings with a responsible choice of materials and use of natural resources, but also by shaping unique places with strong identities and a long-lasting cultural significance. There is no one-size-fits-all strategy for this – we are driven by the passion to create.

Products & Services
The focus of our activities is the planning of hotels and office buildings. We are also as comfortable with the design of residential complexes as with the planning of cultural buildings. Our project portfolio ranges from the refurbishment of heritage-listed buildings to new building designs, from interior fitouts to town planning, from feasibility studies to general contractor activities. Germanys tallest timber high-rise Roots
The special feature of this 65 meter high eco-friendly apartment building is its high proportion of solid wood. With the exception of three service cores and a base built of reinforced concrete, all the upper storeys are constructed with solid wood floors and interior walls. Compared to a conventionally constructed building, this complex saves approx. 31% CO₂ and is certified to the Platinum standard of the HafenCity Ecolabel.

The timber hybrid construction with renewable energy generation from solar radiation by means of an integrated photovoltaic (BIPV) façade and a PV system on the rooftop are components of an ecologically and economically sustainable approach. The basic form consists of three structures arranged around a central atrium. It connects all departments of the building and serves as a communicative, identity-creating meeting place.

Freiham is the largest new bild area in Europe. Our part of the project, the district centre at the Freiham urban train station, is the busy hub of the new urban quarter. An urban, vibrant neighbourhood with a mix of apartments, retail, office, hotel, and restaurant spaces is being developed around the centrally located Mahatma Gandhi Square. Its expressive design feature, the sculptural arcade architecture surrounding the square, makes it immediately recognizable and identifiable.
