Beethovenhal, Bonn, Germany

The Beethoven Hall, a listed historical monument in Bonn, was renovated and modernized by December 2025. As the home of the Beethoven Orchestra Bonn, it is an important part of the cultural life of the former capital.
The initiative to build the first Beethoven Hall for the first Beethoven Festival in 1845 came from Franz Liszt. A second building of the same name was destroyed in the bombing of Bonn in 1944. Thanks to broad civic engagement, the current Beethoven Hall was inaugurated on September 8, 1959.
The building was designed by the architect Siegfried Wolske (1925–2005) in the style of "organic architecture." The Beethoven Hall has been a listed historical monument since 1990 and was expanded by three rooms and partially renovated between 1995 and 1997.
LeitWerk did LPH 6-8.
