About us

We are Schmidt Plöcker Architekten based in Frankfurt am Main.
For us, good architecture is modern, but never fashionable. Guided by a philosophy focused on the long-term lifespan of buildings, our work always aims to create architecture that confidently claims its place and stands out positively through design, scale, and materiality.

Products & Services

Architects and Planners

Our strength lies in covering the entire spectrum of architectural services and convincing through results.

At our studio, over 70 architects collaborate in seamless project teams, creating inspiring new buildings, revitalizations, adaptive reuse, and striking interiors.

From urban design and office developments to residential projects and public buildings such as schools and hospitals, we deliver every stage of the architectural process with vision, precision, and a commitment to excellence.

Architecture & Design

High-quality architecture stems from curiosity and a consistent pursuit of excellence. We create designs that respond to both site and brief, giving each project a clear identity.

Focusing on space, materials, and user well-being, our approach avoids fleeting trends and superficial effects. Thoughtful form, not spectacle, shapes architecture that inspires trust and lasting value.

Implementation Planning

No matter what stage a project is in, we can quickly and efficiently take it on and develop it to execution readiness. We create tailored service packages that go beyond traditional construction planning to include review and project management services.

Our starting point can range from a preliminary design study to a fully approved building project. In every case, our priority is to pursue your project goals with focus and prepare them effectively for realization. Whether through individual trade contracts or functional specifications for a general contractor, we develop implementation plans that always ensure a smooth construction process.

Tenant Fit-Out & Interior Design

Spaces evolve — and so do people and the way they work. This creates entirely new demands on the workplace, which today goes far beyond desk, chair, and cabinet.

Office concepts are only truly forward-looking and sustainable when they go beyond simple layout planning. Factors such as work culture, organizational design, and talent development must be continuously considered. Outdated office structures and workspace design lead to a constant loss of efficiency, motivation, and attractiveness for current and future employees. Future-oriented work environments are adaptable and resilient, ready to meet changing demands at any time.

Building Redevelopment

Demand for building revitalization and conversion is rising, driven by the need for sustainable use of existing structures. We begin with a thorough analysis to understand each building’s identity, strengths, and challenges – essential for heritage-protected projects.

Our approach combines creative reuse, forward-looking design, and meticulous project management to enhance functionality, profitability, and long-term value.

Real Estate Marketing

Real estate is far more than just buildings. They are places to work, live, and connect — and they carry stories within them. With our “From Concrete to Brand” service, we focus precisely on this: transforming properties into strong, distinctive brands. Our goal is not only to design and realize buildings architecturally, but to give them a unique identity and a commanding presence in the market.

We support you across the entire lifecycle of a property: from concept development to construction and marketing, through revitalization, repositioning, or repurposing of existing assets. Our approach goes far beyond traditional marketing measures, combining architectural expertise, strategic brand development, and communication skills into a seamless consulting and implementation offering.

Building Information Modeling

BIM (Building Information Modeling) is a holistic planning approach based on a comprehensive data model. It enables clients and project teams to execute complex projects with cost and schedule certainty from the outset, while working more efficiently and economically throughout the planning process. More than just 3D modeling, BIM creates a virtual building model containing all the essential information for design, construction, and even long-term facility management.

Augmented and Virtual Reality in Planning

Augmented and Virtual Reality (AR and VR) give traditional planning a powerful new way to optimize project outcomes. Planning data can now be explored in a fully digital environment, allowing clients, consultants, and partners to provide feedback more easily and helping to minimize errors.

This enhanced project reality enables all relevant information to be visualized directly in the intended space. From standard tablets to advanced VR or AR headsets, planning results can be reviewed, discussed, and challenges tackled collaboratively. These tools also allow compact, accessible project data to be taken directly to clients or construction sites, supporting efficient, collective decision-making.
