New Exhibition and Convention Hall Cologne Trade Fair

The cubature of the Confex fits harmoniously into the ensemble of existing trade fair buildings and, together with the new Hall 1 (also JSWD), forms the structural conclusion of the inner-city trade fair area towards the Rhine Park to the west.

The multifunctional new building is intended for events with up to 6,000 participants. A variable connection with other exhibition halls, especially with the neighboring Hall 1, enables a completely new spectrum of event formats for trade fairs, congresses and events. The offer of 22 conference rooms of different sizes also supports this.
The Confex can also be operated self-sufficiently and accessed directly via the new west entrance.

The German Sustainable Building Council (DGNB) has pre-certified the project with platinum. Among other things, photovoltaic elements on the entire roof area will contribute to the sustainable orientation of the building.
